Krypt are the keepers of oldschool thrash. Hailing from Augusta, GA, this quartet has been compared to the likes of Power Trip, Toxic Holocaust, Exodus, and more. They aren't here for gimmicks, or cute party tricks. When it comes to metal, their riffs represent the sacrilegious lifestyle that keeps this counterculture dangerous. Debuting on Terminus Hate City with their album "Ripe With Sin", the band quickly established themselves as oldschool thrash with elements of black metal. What adds to their unique sound, are subtle hardcore grooves and breakdowns, which are much more apparent in their most recent release, "Great Spawn of the Worms of the Earth". This EP was recorded and mixed by none other than Tom Tapley at West End Sound in Atlanta. This is also Mastodon's studio, and was a huge step up for the Augustan thrashers. Fleshing out their blackened thrash sound, the crew laid down a four song EP in one single day. Harnessing their raw powers in rock and roll, they recorded these tracks as a full band (the way it should be), adding in vocals and leads the same day as well. Mastered by Matthew Carmichael, with album artwork by Duncan Newey (No Cure), Krypt has entered a new exciting era.
